My Journey: From Research to Real-World AI

My passion for understanding complex systems began with my academic pursuits in Molecular Biology and Genetics at İstanbul Technical University. This background instilled in me a rigorous analytical approach and a keen eye for patterns, skills that proved invaluable as I transitioned into the world of technology and AI. My early projects, such as researching the effects of tannic acid on parasites and bacteria or exploring the shelf-life extension of white meat with tannins, highlight my foundational experience in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific problem-solving—all critical precursors to advanced AI applications.

My entrepreneurial spirit led me to establish several ventures, providing me with a multifaceted understanding of business operations and digital strategy:

• As the founder of Yaratıcı Dijital, a digital marketing agency, I had the opportunity to work with over 120 local clients across more than 20 industries, deeply understanding market dynamics and client needs.

• My time as founder of Upcame LTD in London further honed my skills in digital marketing and business development on an international scale.

• In my roles as Assistant General Manager and Foreign Sales Manager at DEKAP, a PVD coating company, I gained extensive experience in global supply chain management, optimizing operational flows (including import/export regimes), and fostering international supplier relationships through direct engagements in China. This diverse operational background provides a unique perspective on integrating AI into traditional industries.
   

Building the Future of AI: Lumees & Copysense AI

My most significant contributions to the AI landscape come from founding and leading cutting-edge AI companies:

• Copysense AI (May 2024 – May 2025): I developed and launched Copysense AI, a platform leveraging AI to create high-quality, engaging content. This experience in streamlining content generation for marketers and creators was pivotal, directly leading to the foundational insights for Lumees's model development.

• Lumees AI Solutions (Apr 2025 – Present): As Founder & CEO, I am leading Lumees in building a next-generation stack of deployable, multimodal, and privacy-first foundation models for language, vision, and edge AI. My mission with Lumees is to break vendor lock-in by enabling open API and on-premise use of our Lumi Model Family. We're focused on innovations like long-document reasoning (128k token context), multilingual capabilities, and optimizing models for edge devices. Our work at Lumees has garnered significant support, including $150,000 USD from Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub and €100,000 EUR from Ovh Startup ScaleUp. My current scientific work on predicting polymer physical properties using Lumi Models is a testament to Lumees's applied research capabilities.
